This Privacy Policy explains how GPT Prompt Maker ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information across our website at gptpromptmaker.com and our GPM Extension for Chrome, Brave, and Edge. The GPM Extension works with ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot, and Perplexity to help you improve and organize your prompts directly inside those platforms. In this policy, "Services" means the website and the Extension together.

By using our website or installing the Extension, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the website and uninstall the Extension.

Information We Collect

Prompt text you choose to improve. When you use the Improve button, the prompt text you submit is sent to our servers for processing. We do not collect prompt text you type into ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot, or Perplexity unless you actively run it through the Extension's Improve feature.

Saved prompts. Prompts you improve are kept in a rolling buffer of your 20 most recent items. A prompt you improve 2 to 3 times is automatically promoted to your permanent Vault.

Account and subscription data. If you sign in or subscribe, we collect your email address and subscription status through our payment processor, Dodo Payments, to manage your account.

Usage data. We may collect basic usage information, such as which supported sites you use the Extension on and how often you use the Improve feature, to maintain and improve the product.

We do not collect: your browsing history outside supported AI platforms, the content of AI responses, or any data from sites the Extension has not been enabled for.

Website account and activity. When you sign up on gptpromptmaker.com, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored hashed). We also store the prompts, templates, and personas you create or save in the Prompt Library, Prompt Builder, and Prompt Vault on the website.

Website analytics and cookies. We use Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use our website, including pages viewed, session recordings, and general usage patterns. These tools may use cookies or similar technologies. See Cookies and Analytics below for more detail.

How We Use Information

We use the information described above to:

Generate an improved version of the prompt you submit
Maintain your recent prompt buffer and Vault so you can reuse past prompts
Manage your account, subscription, and billing through Dodo Payments
Diagnose bugs and improve the Extension's features and reliability
Communicate with you about updates, billing, or support requests

We do not use your prompt text to train third-party AI models beyond what is required to generate the improved prompt you requested, and we do not sell your data.

Data Storage, Retention, and Security

Improved prompts are stored in our database (MongoDB), linked to your account. Your recent buffer holds your last 20 improved prompts on a rolling basis; older items are removed automatically as new ones are added, unless a prompt has been promoted to your Vault.

Prompts promoted to your Vault are retained until you delete them or close your account. You can delete individual prompts or clear your Vault at any time from the Extension or your account dashboard.

We use industry-standard measures, such as encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls, to protect your data in transit and at rest. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Our Services are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last Updated" date, and for significant changes we will provide notice through the Extension or by email. Continued use of the Extension after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
